ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY

of

Edward Adam Sobanski

Born in 1957 in the beautiful Carpathian Mountains of Poland in the small town of Zakopane. I have been an artist as long as I can remember. Ironically I was born with a degeneration of the eye's muscle. Unable to see the colors and shapes of any given reality that surrounds me, but by the same token able to observe and project in my creations the various spectrums of light seen in the many levels of my consciousness. Art is allowed to travel in space and time. An empty canvas for me is an open invitation to different dimensions.

In that space I’m not compelled by any rules and given regulations of the world I am living in. The feeling of being buried in a world built on the ashes of my own ancestors, almost trapped inside their dreams gives me an inspiration for upcoming generations.

I feel constantly and simultaneously both blessed and cursed.

It’s been an internal struggle between my demons and my childish dreams.

I feel driven by an invisible wave of energy which leads to an avalanche of images that I can not stop till I’m burned out expressing them.

As a father I feel an emotional connection to my work. Over the passing years I see myself grow and evolve on many levels which helps become a better version of Myself.

I have no desire to interpret my art. It’s mine. I wish to light up the imagination of others so they can create their own…..happily ever after…..while fighting their own demons!

That’s the definition of real art!

This collection is a journey to the depth of my ever-evolving thought process.
